Setting Them Up For Success
At Sunflower Pet, we know that every pet is different. That's why we strive to be different, too!
Our PlayCare program is designed with your pup's success in mind - we have a 1:7 staff-to-dog ratio, and we design custom groups for each dog every single day. Unlike other facilities, we do not expect any pets to fit a cookie cutter shape - each individual is unique, and is handled according to their own specific needs. Therefore, we do not "fail" dogs on our Social Capability Evaluation; most pets are able to interact safely with at least one other pet, even on their first day. For those who cannot, we offer a "Private Play & Potty" option while we work through those challenging behaviors -- helping them learn to communicate appropriately and play properly with others as dogs should.
More Than All Day Playtime
While both our petcare staff and the pets that come to us LOVE playtime, we strive to be more than just babysitters or a dog park for your pets. We supplement playtime at our facility with many different enrichment activities, one-on-one time, walks, training, and whatever else we can to ensure the physical and mental fulfillment of each dog in our care. While playtime is good enough for some dogs, other ones require more (and different types of) stimulation.
Our loving petcare staff is trained in both animal handling and animal behavior, which truly sets us apart from other facilities. We pride ourselves on trying to provide the best environment for dogs of all backgrounds, personalities, temperaments, and behavioral issues. Our staff also works with each dog, each day to teach (or improve upon) basic canine manners such as: leash walking, crate training, the "sit" and "wait" commands, no jumping, and more!*
*Please note that if your dog struggles with a specific behavior, the structure and daily training we provide may not be enough to improve these behaviors. We do offer training packages for complex behavioral issues!

Boarding & Daycare (PlayCare)
It's a Dog-Meet-Dog World...
At Sunflower Pet PlayCare and Spa, we are passionate about providing the best possible care for your pets. As a small business, we know each pet is different, and we strive to make sure each pet's individual needs are met. That's why we pay special attention to a dog's social needs in our daycare program - each one of daycare groups are different, and the dogs in them change each day. We believe that, like us, dogs have different phases, mood swings, and desires to socialize based on the day, and our staff is committed to making your pup's playtime as safe & enjoyable as possible.
Grumpy? Crazy? Socially awkward? Ball-hog? Cuddlebug? Pool enthusiast? No matter what type of personality your pup has, we love and have a place for them all!
We also have an entire cat room dedicated to our feline friends, where they can eat, sleep, and be merry away from our dog boarding area. #NoDogsAllowed! If they're up for it, our staff will play and cuddle with them as much as their hearts desire.

While we can't promise that your pet will arrive in a diamond-studded limo, we will absolutely roll out the red carpet for them! With cozy sleeping quarters, freshly washed & sanitized bedding (for that hotel feel), delicious snacks on demand, and days full of play and fun activities, we are sure your pet will feel like an A-lister while boarding with us.

*NOTE: If your pet does not pass a Social Capability Evaluation or you opt to not have them evaluated, they will be considered “Private Play and Potty” pets whose rates are $60/day and $75/night for daycare and boarding, respectively.
